The 4+5+4 structure has two hinges. Zola ⛎ (month 7) is the cosmic hinge
at the center of Recognition — the equinoctial crossing where both hemispheres
meet simultaneously, the crossing point of the Viviani curve (z = 0).
Kashf (month 10) is the seasonal hinge at the boundary between Recognition and
Inscription — the unveiling where the year turns from expression toward
consolidation. The year folds at Zola. It turns at Kashf.
The three months spanning the hinge — Iṭḍiwāʼ
(light), Kashf (revelation), Ta˕awwul (transformation), months 9–11
— are all Arabic. The language of the seasonal turn is Arabic.

Southern — New Year: October
Antarctica is the purest expression of the Terran Series’ Southern Hemisphere
argument. It is the only continent entirely in the Southern Hemisphere, governed
by no sovereign nation, with the most extreme photoperiod on Earth. A researcher
at the South Pole experiences 6 months of continuous Kinesis and 6 months of
continuous Resting — the absolute limit of what the sphere delivers.
The Terran Calendar’s SH New Year (October) applies to Antarctica more
honestly than anywhere else on Earth. It is the one continent where no
administrative calendar has ever been imposed by a sovereign nation.
The Gregorian calendar has its weakest hold here. The sphere has its strongest.
